About Me

More About Me than You May Want to Know

I am Stephen Forsyth, photographer, writer, husband, father, information security advisor, plumber, electrician, etc etc. I like to do a little bit of just about everything. I probably have ADHD, but I still enjoy doing a wide variety of activities that keep me busy.

I have also included some of my writing, specifically blog posts. I have a busy mind and getting my thoughts down on "paper" helps me to organize and express my thoughts which I can't always express publicly for various reasons. I consider myself a smart person, but I'm fully aware what I'm expressing here are just my views. I don't belong to any major political party and yet I have strong feelings about politics for example. I hope that while reading this you can give me a break on my opinions and if nothing else just look at some pictures.

Please note that any views or opinions expressed are my own. They do not represent the views of my employer, church, age, nation, gender, city, family, neighborhood, political party, sports team or anything else. If you want their views, go talk to them and then remember not to sue me. I do not personally identify any individual, living or dead using their real name without their express permission, so most names are made up, but I don't make any distinction between real names and pseudonyms. Also, I'm not a doctor, running coach, virologist, psychologist, epidemiologist (i don't have any ists after my name) so don't mistake my opinions for expertise. Mistakes that are made are mine and while my work is influenced by external sources, this work is mine and mine alone. Also, don't forget to not sue me.

I started "real" photography in high school, in 2001 (yeah seriously that long ago) on a minolta SLR that belonged to my sister, I took black and white pictures of all kinds of things, a lot of hockey, some landscape and portrait, and a few animals. I developed film and used darkroom and chemicals, but I also learned photoshop from a great photo teacher, Mr. Bates. I have owned a few different digital cameras over the years, currently I shoot mostly with a Sony A7R III and a Sony RX100 M7 for point and shoot. I love the peacefulness from shooting landscapes, but I enjoy having human and animal subjects as well. My wife loves traveling and I love photography, so many of my photos are hanging up in our home serving as memories of places we've visited. I would love to have some of them hanging in your home as well.

All photos displayed on this site as well as the site itself are my original work and I own copyright to all photos shown. Any use without my written permission is a violation of my copyright and will be treated as such.
